OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher/Evening Manager to join our Early Childhood Education team. This unique role combines leadership and teaching responsibilities, ensuring that young children receive a safe, nurturing, and educational environment during the evening hours. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with strong management skills, able to lead a team while creating a positive learning experience for children.

Key Responsibilities:
Evening Manager Duties:• Supervise and manage eveningoperations of the center, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and center policies.• Oversee the care and well-being of children during the night shift, providing a calm and supportive environment.• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure adequate staff coverage for all classrooms.• Handle any emergencies or incidents, providing appropriate care and documentation.• Communicate with parents or guardians, addressing concerns or providing updates on their child’s day.• Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, attendance, and student progress.• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide guidance to evening staff on best practices in early childhood education.

Teaching Duties:
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote early learning, social skills, and emotional development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages children’s growth and development.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with day staff to ensure continuity in the educational and developmental goals for each child.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress, needs, and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in early childhood education, with a strong background in teaching and managing young children.
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, early learning standards, and educational practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies and manage difficult situations calmly.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Evening availability and flexibility in scheduling.
